1/2 2011 // 30 Albums, Part 2: Pop Is Dead, Long Live Pop

As we continue to review our favorite music of the year so far, we now move to the 30 albums that, having reached us through the soniferous æther, we were able to roughly agree upon as being some of 2011′s finest. Those 30 albums have been organized into three borderline-nonsensical pseudo-generic conceptual categories. Today, a more questionably conceived group of (at times very different) album which all come at pop from a unique angle. What’s pop? These songs.
